The Beach of PHEIA
Located directly in front of the hotel, the beach of PHEIA stretches along the crystal-clear waters of the Ionian Sea, in the tranquil bay of Agios Andreas - a place of exceptional natural beauty and historical significance. Beneath the waters of the bay lies the submerged ancient port of Olympia, PHEIA, once serving as the maritime gateway for visitors and athletes traveling to Ancient Olympia.
The beach blends the authenticity of nature with the comfort of a refined hospitality experience. Its shoreline is sandy, featuring distinctive dark sand shaped by the volcanic geology of the region, influenced by the dormant volcano of Katakolo - a rare geological feature of the western Peloponnese.
Along the coast, the natural rocky shoreline meets stones connected to the ancient structures of the area and the submerged harbor of PHEIA. Within the clear waters of the bay, guests may also glimpse submerged architectural remains and ancient columns, creating a truly unique atmosphere where history and the sea become one.
For comfortable access to the sea, natural sandy pathways have been formed, allowing for an easy and safe entrance into the water.
Guests may relax on sunbeds and umbrellas set directly by the sea, while beach service is available, offering beverages, cocktails, and light meals delivered directly to their loungers. During the summer season, the beach is also supervised by a lifeguard provided by the Municipality of Pyrgos, offering an added sense of comfort and safety.
A beach where the Ionian Sea, the history of Ancient Olympia, and the authentic beauty of nature come together in a truly memorable experience.
